摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type or a transmission/reflection type liquid crystal display device high in display quality without causing a display defect due to variation in cell gap.

SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device which has a display region having a plurality of pixel regions and a non-display region surrounding the display region and wherein a reflection electrode region provided in every pixel region has an insulating layer having a surface which exhibits a concave/convex profile and a reflection layer formed on the insulating layer, an insulating layer having the surface which exhibits the same concave/convex profile as the surface of the insulating layer in the display region is formed in the non-display region.
