<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and short electric connector which can be mounted steadily on its own on a circuit board and can receive force evenly and in a balanced manner. <P>SOLUTION: The electric connector includes an insulation body, conductive terminals and a shield. The shield includes a main body and ligulate plates protruding frontward from the front-end face of the main body and a plurality of terminal paths are arranged recessed on one surface of the ligulate plates penetrating the insulation main body for the conductive terminals to be housed therein. The insulation main body is equipped with a base wall facing a circuit board, from which a plurality of support bodies are extended downward. The shield covers the insulation main body and a plurality of retaining legs are extended perpendicularly downward respectively from the front end and the rear end of the base of the insulation main body. When the electric connector is mounted on the circuit board, its front end and rear end retaining legs are fixed to the circuit board, retaining the electric connector steadily and in a balanced manner on the circuit board. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
