PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability or the like of a sealing member provided at the end parts of a photoreceptive drum and a developing roller. SOLUTION: The sealing member to prevent the leakage of toner by abutting on the end parts of the photoreceptive drum and the developing roller of an image forming apparatus possesses a surface layer 30a formed by a conjugate split fiber 40, a flexible layer 30b to support it, and a double coated adhesive tape 30c to join them or the like, and the composite split fiber 40 constituting the surface layer 30a possesses a base material 41 having a slit part 40a and constituting a split fiber base body and a sub material 42 disposed at each slit part 40a. The leakage of the toner is blocked by the blade effect of the sub material 42 projected from the surface of the base material 41, so that necessary sealing performance is obtained with light pressing force.
