SLOT FOR OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot for an optical fiber cable, that enables resin of an original color to be reproduced in the recycling of resin by making it possible to specify an optical fiber storing groove without using a colored resin. SOLUTION: The resin-made slot 10 for an optical fiber cable has a plurality of optical fiber storing grooves I-V defined by a plurality of ribs which are divided in the circumferential direction and extended along the longitudinal direction. The slot 10 is composed of a slot layer which covers the outer periphery of a tension member 12 arranged in the center and which is made of one type of unicolor resin. The rib 13 adjacent to the prescribed optical fiber storing groove I that is specified for identification purpose has an outer shape different from that of other ribs over the entire slot length.
