PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stylus for a portable information terminal that can be easily found out, even when it is lost in darkness or compartment and has a low chance of being lost. SOLUTION: A microphone 33 and a piezoelectric sounder 34 are provided inside a shaft 26, and when one beats time with his hand with a specific rhythm, the piezoelectric sounder 34 sounds in response to it.
