<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make stably performable normal display in a driving method of a PDP for applying separate sustained discharge signals to the odd-numbered electrode X and the even numbered electrode Y, respectively. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to a plasma display device which is provided with a display panel having 1st and 2nd electrodes 2, 3 arranged in parallel, and 3rd and 4th electrodes arranged so as to be orthogonal to them, selecting discharge cells in an addressing process and performing sustained discharges in a sustained discharge process, and relates to the driving method of the plasma display device in which 1st and 2nd slits are formed between the 2nd electrode and one side and the other of the 1st electrode, to perform interlaced display by the 1st and 2nd slits, and a light emitting frequency adjusting process for averaging the light emitting frequency to any of the odd numbered and even numbered slits of the 1st and 2nd slits which emit light at less frequency after the sustained discharge process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
