<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a liquid crystal display with superior display characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display which is constituted by sandwiching a liquid crystal layer between a couple of opposite substrates and has a plurality of pixel areas formed by a couple of electrodes formed on the internal surface of the substrate has a reflection layer provided corresponding to the pixel area; and the reflection layer is sectioned into a plurality of reflection sections which are formed of different constituent components in the pixel area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
