PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-shaped, small-sized, high-responsiveness tripod head mechanism which can be precisely moved, and to provide an optical device placed on the tripod head mechanism. SOLUTION: The tripod head mechanism is provided with a ginbal spring, a VCM and an arm as principal constitutional elements, and the tripod head mechanism is constituted as follows, a loaded subject such as an optical device is placed on the ginbal spring through a pedestal, and the side face of the loaded subject is pressurized by the arm joined to the movable coil of the VCM so as to change the direction of the loaded subject. Besides, the loaded subject is placed on the center of the ginbal spring of the tripod head mechanism through the pedestal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
