PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity in a wide wavelength region from a visible region to a near IR region and excellent stability of the electrostatic characteristics, and to provide an electrophotographic method, an electrophotographic device and a process cartridge for an electrophotographic device. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer deposited on a conductive supporting body, the photosensitive layer contains a phthalocyanine compound and an azo compound expressed by general formula (1): Ar-(-N=N-Cp)<SB>n</SB>. In formula (1), Ar represents a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group or aromatic heterocyclic group which may be coupled through a bonding group, Cp represents a coupler residue and n represents an integer of 1, 2, 3 or 4.
