The armoured door consists of a rotary tube (1) suspended from rollers inside a fixed outer sleeve (3) and having an opening (2) large enough for an operative to enter and rotate it by means of internal handles (9) to set the opening in line with a safe. In this position there is no means of access from the outside, and the operative can open the safe, the door of which fits into the opening and prevents the tube from being turned while the safe is open. Following the transfer of funds, the operative closes the safe, rotates the tube to exit and fastens the tube behind him by means of locking bolts (10).
