<p>An agent imparting water holding power to an inorganic porous material, characterized in that it comprises a water-dispersible or water-soluble water absorbing material exhibiting a water absorbing capability of 3 to 500 magnifications, and imparts water holding power to an inorganic porous material through attaching to inner walls of a number of continuous interstices present inside of the inorganic porous material. The agent imparting water holding power is advantageous in that it imparts water holding power without blocking interstices inside of the inorganic porous material, which may result in providing an inorganic porous material exhibiting both water permeability and water holding power.</p> |
