<p>An organic semiconductor structure obtained by forming an organic semiconductor layer which has a large area, is even, and has high charge-transfer characteristics. It has in at least part thereof an organic semiconductor layer comprising an oriented, liquid-crystalline, organic semiconductor material. The liquid-crystalline organic semiconductor material comprises an organic compound having a core comprising L 6π-electron ring(s), M 8π-electron ring(s), N 10π-electron ring(s), O 12π-electron ring(s), P 14π-electron ring(s), Q 16π-electron ring(s), R 18π-electron ring(s), S 20π-electron ring(s), T 22π-electron ring(s), U 24π-electron ring(s), and V 26π-electron ring(s) (provided that L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, and V each is an integer of 0 to 6, and L+M+N+O+P+Q+R+S+T+U+V is from 1 to 6). The organic semiconductor structure has at least one liquid-crystal state at temperatures not higher than the thermal decomposition temperature.</p> |
