<p>The invention concerns a method wherein an induction loop electromagnetic detector (9) is used for controlling the welding (6) of a closure cap (3) to a nuclear fuel sheath (2) still containing a spring (5). Indeed a welding process carried with excess energy weakens the metallurgical structure of the spring (5), which may reduce the electromagnetic coupling and the signal recorded by the detector (9). Comparing the signal peaks and the plateau signal provides a criterion for determining the quality of the fuel pencils (1).</p> |
