The image of reference pattern (16) and a basic pattern (18) are set on printing film or plate, using an imaging device. Another image of a test pattern is set on the basic pattern, to form a combination pattern, using another imaging device. A reference pattern is identified from the common area of the combination pattern, and its relative position with the other reference patterns is determined. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) method of correcting position of projection point of the imaging device; (2) printing form exposer; (3) printing unit; (4) printing unit group; and (5) printing press.
