A proportional valve (1) measures the constriction (2) position from the force on the return spring (4) determined by a piezoelectric or resistive force sensor (6) in a transverse bore in the spring tension adjusting screw (5). Includes an Independent claim for running the force sensor connection line through the adjustment screw.
