Filling of the boxes (105) with the goods, packing of the boxes and the preparation of the boxes for despatch all takes place on at least one rotating work surface of a box turntable (100) working in conjunction with a peripheral device (HI, In). The boxes have lids. Independent claims are also included for (a) a twin circuit process in which filling, packing and preparation for despatch takes place partly on at least one rotating work surface of a box turntable and partly on at least one rotating work surface of a goods turntable (200), each turntable being surrounded by a peripheral device in a ring-like configuration, (b) the apparatus for the single circuit process, (c) the apparatus for the twin circuit process, (d) a single circuit packing machine for boxes with lids, comprising a box turntable with peripheral devices arranged in a ring around its periphery and (e) a twin circuit packing machine for boxes with lids, comprising box and goods turntable with peripheral devices arranged in a ring around their periphery.
