METHOD OF AGING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL FOR IMPROVING WAVEFORM OF APPLIED PULSE

PURPOSE: A method of aging a plasma display panel for improving waveform of an applied pulse is provided to form uniformly discharging characteristics of all discharge cells by applying a constant voltage to the discharge cells during a predetermined time to perform a continuous discharge process. CONSTITUTION: Pulses are alternately applied to all discharge cells. The rising time of the pulse corresponds to a front half of the width of the pulse whereas the falling time of the pulse corresponds to a rear half of the width of the pulse. The waveform of the pulse is a sine wave. The plasma display panel is formed with a front substrate and a rear substrate. The front substrate and the rear substrate face each other. A plurality of address electrode lines are perpendicular to X electrode lines and Y electrode lines. The pulses are alternately applied between the X electrode lines and the Y electrode lines.
