PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing and evaluating the danger of laid pipe is provided to diagnose a danger state of the laid pipe by using the position and the facilities information of the laid pipe, and to make the concentrated management and development plan of each level. CONSTITUTION: A pipe installing area for diagnosing the danger by using a danger diagnosis system is selected. A diagnosis method is selected. A value decided by each factor is extracted from a GIS(Geographic Information System) and a facilities information system according to the selected diagnosis method, and is stored in the system. After judging that the decision value of a key factor is equal to the first reference value, if the decision value of the key factor is same as a set value, it is judged as the highest dangerous level. If not, the decision value of each factor is fixed. A danger point of each factor is produced by using the fixed decision value and is summed up. The danger level is judged by using the summed danger point.
