The conveyor section comprises a track body (4) with parallel rails (12) on each length side, the goods (2) being transported along the track body between the rails using an endless conveyor chain. The track body comprises parallel side pieces joined together in the cross-direction by at least two spacer pieces. The side rails are secured to the track body by at least one pair of L-shaped brackets (14) on opposite sides of the track body, the bracket having a horizontal lower arm (16) and a vertical upper arm (18). The lower arm is slidably mounted in one of the spacer pieces and can be fixed into position by a manually operated locking mechanism shared by two spacer pieces in each pair. The vertical arm is secured to the side rails.
