A hidden hinge system for furniture and doors has recessed mountings in the fixed frame and movable frame and linked by two interlocking tags to operate as a lift off hinge. One tag has a forked shape while the second tag has a central flange which fits into the forked shape enabling the hinge to occupy a compact space. The separate mountings have alignment adjustments to hang the door.
