ELECTRON GUN FOR COLOR CATHODE RAY TUBE

PURPOSE: An electron gun is provided to reduce the size of electron beam spot and obtain a high resolution, while preventing distortions of electron beams. CONSTITUTION: An electron gun comprises a first electrode(100), and second to fifth electrodes sequentially arranged in a screen direction. The first electrode has a horizontally elongated rectangular electron beam passing hole(110) and a vertically elongated rectangular groove(120). The second electrode has a rectangular electron beam passing hole and a horizontally elongated rectangular groove. The first to fifth electrodes have circular electron beam passing holes.
