<p>A gas pressure adjusting apparatus which has an electrochemical cell (4) comprising a first electrode (1) for decomposing a gas into ions, a second electrode (2) for converting ions generated in the first electrode (1) again to the gas, and a material (3) capable of conducting proton arranged being sandwiched between both the electrodes, and a high pressure vessel (5) arranged in one side of the electrochemical cell (4). In the gas pressure adjusting apparatus, a gas is decomposed into ions on the first electrode (1), the resulting ions are conducted to the side of the second electrode (2) through the material (3) capable of conducting proton sandwiched between both the electrodes, and the conducted ions are converted again to the gas on the second electrode (2).</p> |
