Self-adhesive tape with a flexible adhesive layer, a sealing film and a stripping film for fixing windows or doors to wall surfaces also has a base layer in the form of wide-mesh fabric with a shorter section embedded in the relatively thick adhesive layer and a longer uncovered section forming a base for plaster or mortar. Self-adhesive connecting tape for fixing window or door casings to wall surfaces in a building, with a flexible-plastic adhesive layer (3) for sticking the tape (10) to the wall, a sealing film (5) attached to (3) for fixing onto a contact surface (21a) of the window or door (21) and a stripping film (4) covering the exposed adhesive surface of (3). The tape also has a base layer (2) in the form of a wide-mesh fabric with a relatively short section (2a) embedded on both sides in the relatively thick adhesive layer (3) and a relatively long uncovered section (2b) which is used as a base for plaster or mortar.
