PURPOSE: A color cathode ray tube is provided to accurately form red, green and blue phosphors, while achieving improved color purity and quality of cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: A color cathode ray tube comprises a panel(1) having an inner surface on which a plurality of black matrices(12) are formed, and a phosphor screen formed between the black matrices; a funnel connected to the panel; an electron gun mounted in a neck portion of the funnel, and which emits electron beams toward the phosphor screen; and a shadow mask spaced apart from the phosphor screen, and which discriminates colors. The black matrix has a reference hole(14) for alignment of the shadow mask during the ICM process; a sign slot(13) for adjustment of screen; and two or more screen mask align holes(10).
