PURPOSE: An Internet phone and a method for charging and settling a card using the same are provided to manage and charge the card conveniently by making the user charge a transportation card and perform the settlement of a pass-card through the Internet phone. CONSTITUTION: A card reader(40) reads the IC information including the card use information stored in the card and outputs the read information to a CPU(50). A fare charger(90) stores the charging price data of a transportation charging company received through a network connector(80) under the control of the CPU(50). A memory(60) stores the information including the list information of each bank and the address information of each bank server. The CPU(50) determines the settlement information such as an account number and the price from an output signal of the card reader(40), and connects to the bank server through the network connector(80) by reading the bank server address if a connection request is received from the card reader(40).
