PURPOSE: A light guide panel for a backlight unit having a complex variable pattern is provided to optimize dot pattern arrangement at an area having the minimum dot size. CONSTITUTION: Dot pitches on a light guide panel(14) are regularly arranged in a horizontal direction of a lamp(17) at regular values. In a vertical direction of the lamp, dot pitches from a lamp light entering part to a center part are reduced in an exponential function or Gaussian function while dot pitches from the center part to a light opposite part have the same values as the dot pitches of the horizontal direction of the lamp. The diameters of the dots on the light guide panel are increased in the exponential log function as the dots are far from the light entering part.
