PURPOSE: A seawater exchange breakwater using a buoyant pontoon is provided to reduce the period and costs of construction and to keep water quality clean in an inland sea. CONSTITUTION: The seawater exchange breakwater using a buoyant pontoon contains an ogee breakwater(1) functioning as a primary breakwater and a pontoon(10) having a buoyant tank built in and functioning as a secondary breakwater, the structure of the ogee breakwater(1) comprises the steps of erecting right, left sidewalls on the right, left sides of a block(5) formed on a foundation(4) of riprap(3), erecting an intermediate partition wall on the middle of the right, left sidewalls, installing a horizontal partition wall(8) on the middle of the right, left sidewalls and the intermediate partition wall, installing a horizontal upper plate(9) provided with a wave guide plate(9a) to be inclined on the right, left sidewalls and the intermediate partition wall and boring a flowing water hole(H) on the horizontal upper plate(9); and the structure of the pontoon(10) comprises the steps of forming a buoyant tank(11) on the lower part of the pontoon(10), installing a main body of the pontoon(10) on the buoyant tank(11), forming many retreated parts(10b) and rugged parts(10c) horizontally on the front of the main body, boring many seawater-feeding holes(12) on the retreated part(10b), projecting many wave-absorbing projections(13) longitudinally on the main body(10a) and forming a wave guide plate(14) on the main body(10a) to be inclined downward.
