The invention relates to a barrier comprising a plastic module (1) having components for connecting to other same-type barriers in order to form a continuous element and create an enclosed section. Said connecting components are provided, on one side, with projections (4) and, on the opposite side, with vertical rods (6) which are housed in openings (5) in said projections (4) when the barriers (1) are connected one next to another. Said vertical rods (6) emerge from projections (4') that are also provided with an upper projecting part (8) which is mounted in the housing of a projection (17) on a complementary barrier (12). Said complementary barrier has means for connecting to other same-type barriers and to the barriers mentioned above (type 1), said connecting means comprising projections (14) with a vertical rod (15) and, on the opposite side, housings (18) which are disposed in projections (16). As with barrier 1, the complementary barrier (12) is provided with detachable supports that rest on the ground, although said complementary barrier (12) is designed to be suspended between two type 1 barriers, forming a particular type of wall for specific situations or cases, the height of said complementary barrier (12) being significantly smaller than barrier 1. One surface of both barrier 1 and complementary barrier 12 is provided with projections having a complementary shape to the housings provided in the opposite surface, thereby forming centring and fixing means between barriers, in the stacked modules attached between said barriers.
