<p>A method of recovering a fluorochemical emulsifying agent from a wastewater which has resulted from polymerization for fluoropolymer production and contains the fluorochemical emulsifying agent and in which the content of suspending solid matters and substances which can become suspending solid matters is 1 wt.% or lower, the method comprising using divalent metal ions and trivalent metal ions to form a lamellar composite hydroxide to trap the fluorochemical emulsifying agent contained in the wastewater between sheets of the lamellar composite hydroxide, and separating the resultant lamellar composite hydroxide from the wastewater. Thus, a fluorochemical emulsifying agent can be easily and efficiently recovered from, e.g., a wastewater resulting from coagulation of a fluoropolymer.</p> |
