<p>The invention relates to a clamping device (2) for the fixing of two coated sheets (5,5,15,15) with precise separation in a boundary overlapping region with two opposing clamp lugs (1,1) and a method for the laser welding of coated sheets (5,5,15,15). According to the invention, said method may be improved, whereby each clamping lug (1,1) on the clamping device (2) has projections (4,4,9) on the face facing the opposing clamping lug (1,1), which extend through recesses (11,11) provided in the sheet (5,5,15,15) adjacent to the clamping lug (1,1). The projections (4,4,9) thus impinge on the opposite sheet (5,5,15,15 ) and the size of the projections (4,4,9) corresponds to the thickness of the sheet (5,5,15,15) adjacent to the clamping lug (1,1) in addition to the desired separation of the sheets (5,5,15,15).</p> |
