The frame (3) is particularly suitable for conference or office tables and comprises three connecting parts (1, 2, 9, 19) which are joined together by friction and form-fit connections. Two of these parts form a length part (1) and a cross-part (2) of the frame. A fastener (8) extending in the axial direction of either the length part of cross-part is used to join the three parts together.
