A locking ring that is of simple construction and is easy to use, wherein plastically deforming the internal thread of a nut imparts a loosening-preventive function to the nut itself, whereby a reliable loosening-preventive effect is obtained. In a single-nut fastening structure having a main nut (4) threadedly engaged on the external thread (20) of a bolt (2) extending through fastening subject members (1); a locking ring (3) interposed between the fastening subject member and the main nut to prevent the loosening of the main nut, wherein the locking ring is made of a material having higher hardness than that of the material of the main nut, and has a pressing projection (30) formed on one surface thereof, the pressing projection being pressed at its front end against the peripheral edge of the threaded hole in the main nut to plastically deform the internal thread of the main nut.
