The input device uses active light markings (9) integrated into the underside of a model object (6) facing a camera (7) so that the radiation intensity of the light markings as well as the orientation and identity of the object to be displayed can be coded as a result of the geometric arrangement and/or adjustment. The active light markings are narrowband LEDs, which can be of different colors.
