A case in the shape of a crash helmet comprises a rounded top section B and a flat base portion I which are joined by a circumferential zipper fastener/s E. The case may have a fin C which is profiled so as to allow the case to be stood on its side and a handle G where the fastener/s meet. The base portion may have clips H allowing it to be secured to the back of a motorcycle or to the seat of a vehicle. The top section may have a mesh D secured thereto allowing the storage of helmet visors and documents therein. The helmet case may be fabricated from trilaminate foam fabric, kevlarRTM or light alloy.
