Jewelry ring comprises a ring rail and a jewelry element held between the ends of the ring rail. The jewelry element is held with its ends in at least complementary designed shells in the ends of the ring rail to allow a pivoting movement. Preferred Features: The ends and the shells are hemispherical. The jewelry element is held under tension of the ring rail ends. The jewelry element is a precious stone or a material having a Mohs hardness of at least 7, e.g. synthetic spinel, synthetic corundum, or a ceramic material.
