Data transmission between telecommunications installations requires an interface unit which advantageously contains the internet address to which is added the data of the application, as a telephone number, so that the link to a further telecommunications installation can be made with a connected computer via a telephone network. An interface unit of the first telecommunications installation is polled by the application, so that the interface unit receives the data packet by means of the transmission protocol, and it is ascertained via the first data packet, to which second telecommunications installation a link is to be made. The interface unit forms the link to the second telecommunications installation, so that with formation of a successful link data packets are transmitted to a second telecommunications installation. |
