PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing unit for creating a new space which is not entirely covered with Tatamis or formed by providing Tatamis on one end of flooring in substantially the same level. SOLUTION: This housing unit A comprises a unit body 2 formed by continuously providing two or more housing boxes 1 for laying Tatamis 5 on the upper faces and frame members 3 mounted on the upper outer edge of the unit body 2 to extend over the housing boxes 1 and mutually connect the housing boxes 1. The flat outer shape of the frame member 3 is formed in a substantially L-shape, and the frame member 3 is mounted so that the substantially L-shape of the frame member 3 is laid along substantially the whole length of two edges substantially orthogonal on the upper outer edge of the unit body 2.
