PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a delayed-release potashium fertilizer which can stably assure a high potashium yield. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the delayed-release potashium fertilizer includes a process step 101 of adding potashium raw materials to the slag on molten iron containing components of one or≥2 kinds selected from the group consisting of CaO, MgO, Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, FeO, Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, and MnO and SiO<SB>2</SB>and fusing the slag on the molten iron and the potashium raw materials, a process step 102 of cooling and solidifying the melt formed by fusion of the slag on the molten iron and the potashium raw materials and a process step 103 of regulating the grain size of the solidified solid, in which the slag and the potashium raw materials are fused while gas is blown from an agitation lance in a shallow position of≤200 mm from the surface of the melt.
