<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the exposing unit height adjusting work. <P>SOLUTION: The copier 100 comprises a photosensitive drum 108 provided between side frame members 210, supporting members 220 provided for each side frame member 210, an exposing unit 112 with both end parts supported by the corresponding supporting members 220, and height adjusting mechanisms 300 for adjusting the height of the exposing unit 112. Each height adjusting mechanism 300 comprises an operation pin member 310 provided rotatably around an axis in the vertical direction and unrotatably in the vertical direction at the corresponding side frame members 210 with the upper end face exposed to above, and a working pin member 320 provided rotatably around an axis parallel to the axis and drive-linked with the operation pin member 310.
