PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for use in modeling that satisfies all items of (i) low viscosity before cured, (ii) quick curing, (iii) good mechanical properties after cured and (iv) small volume shrinkage when cured and is suitable for making a solid modeling with an optical solid modeling method. SOLUTION: This radical polymerizable resin composition for use in the modeling is manufactured by mixing at least one compound (A) selected from the group consisting of a polyester(meth)acrylate, a urethane(meth)acrylate and an epoxy(meth)acrylate, a water soluble ethylenic unsaturated compound (B) having at least one radical polymerizable ethylenic unsaturated bond within a molecule and a polymerization initiator (C), and then adding water (D) not more than a saturated moisture content of the above mixture to the mixture.
