摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface coated cemented carbide cutting tool with a hard coating layer superior in chipping resistance in high speed intermittent cutting. SOLUTION: The surface coated cemented carbide cutting tool is formed by depositing and forming the hard coating layer having an overall average layer thickness of 1-10μm and composed of alternate multiple laminations of first and second thin layers with respective average layer thicknesses of 0.01-0.3μm, and an outermost chip sliding layer having an average layer thickness of 0.05-1μm on the surface of a tungsten carbide based cemented carbide base body. The first thin layer is composed of either one or both of a titanium nitride layer and a titanium carbonitride layer, the second thin layer is composed of an aluminum oxide layer, and the outermost chip sliding layer is composed of either one or both of a molybdenum sulfide layer and a titanium sulfide layer.
