PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating oil and fat-containing waste water discharged from kitchens or else conveniently, reliably and inexpensively by using immobilized enzyme. SOLUTION: In this method for treating oil and fat-containing waste water such as waste water which contains waste oil and fat discharged from kitchens, a bioreactor 20 which is filled with immobilized enzyme therein is disposed in a grease trap 10 and the oil and fat-containing waste water 60 collected in the grease trap 10 is circulated to the bioreactor 20 and is decomposed. Alternatively in this method for treating oil and fat-containing waste water such as waste water which contains waste oil and fat discharged from kitchens, two or more bioreactors which are filled with immobilized enzyme therein, adjoin each other and are communicated with each other are disposed in the grease trap successively, one end of the bioreactors located on the most remote end part is attached to the connection part with a water intake pipe for introducing the oil and fat-containing waste water from kitchens or else into the grease trap and the oil and fat-containing waste water is allowed to pass each bioreactor and is decomposed.
