PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-resistant hose for fire fighting which is excellent in flexibility and can be used in a severe high-temperature environment. SOLUTION: The fire-resistant hose 1 for fire fighting is formed by combining laminates composed of a high-strength metal 2 and a synthetic fiber 3, which is formed in a cylindrical shape and can be easily bent by a human power. Under a specified pressure, a part of a fire extinguishing water radially permeates and filtered 4 from inside toward outside so as to cover an entire outer surface of a hose body with a water screen 5 for cooling. A necessary cable 6 is arranged inside the hose for enabling cooling by water immersion. Cooling by water sprinkling is also possible by arranging a plurality of water sprinkling nozzles 7 on the outer surface of the hose for discharging water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
