PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of repairing a coating film by which the color difference between a repaired part and a non-repaired part is reduced. SOLUTION: The method of repairing the coating film to partially repair a required part B of a laminated coating film having an intermediate coating film 3, a metallic base coating film 4 and a clear coating film 5 is performed by grinding the coating film in the repairing part B to prepare the surface, applying a repairing coating material 6 having a vehicle resin of the same system as that in the metallic base coating material as the composition component and having the same color as the intermediate coating material or colorless on the surface of the prepared repairing part B and applying a metallic base coating material 4' and a clear coating material 5' by wet-on-wet on the coating film 6 formed by the repairing coating material and drying them.
