<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate adjustment of an output position in a main scanning direction and to readily change a position relationship between a transferring paper from each paper supply tray of an image forming apparatus and an output position of a light from a light emitting element array unit. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises a plurality of light emitting element array units 503 arranged in a staggered fashion, an LED writing control circuit 502 that performs light-writing by divisionally transferring an input image signal to the light emitting element array units 503-1-503-3 to allow them to emit the lights, and an image memory section 301 for temporarily storing the transferred image signals by each line. The LED writing control circuit 502 sets an address to the transferred image signal by each predetermined pixel unit and the output positions of the plurality of light emitting element arrays in the main scanning direction are adjusted based on the set addresses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
