PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift device with significantly simplified support structure of a movable body supporting a lift table movably to a vertical machine frame without deteriorating functions, and smoothly lifting and carrying an object put on the lift table regardless of the weight of the object. SOLUTION: The lift device 1 has the vertically moving lift table 4 supported by the movable body 5 to the vertical machine casing 3. The lift device also has a roller 16 under the movable body 5 for supporting the front surface of a front support face 15 of the vertical machine casing 3 and a roller 17 above the movable body for supporting the rear surface of the support surface. The movable body 5 is supported by the rollers 16 and 17 holding the front support face 15 in-between to be moved upward/downward. Recessed groove-shaped upper and lower guide rails 23 are formed in the intermediate area on the left and right sides on the inner side of the back 22 of the vertical machine casing 3.
