PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device for allowing the carriage of a material to be recorded at its end to a fixed reference position at all times and the stable winding of the material, if tightly curled, on a drum. SOLUTION: A guide plate 40 and a guide receiving plate 34 form a carrying passage for guiding the material to be recorded to a contact position between the drum D1 and a squeeze roller 41. The guide plate 40 is fixed at both sides to the bottom faces of guide arms 42a, 42b (faces opposed to the guide receiving plate 34). The guide arms 42a, 42b have one ends 44a, 44b mounted on shaft portions 45a, 45b of the squeeze roller 41 and the other ends rotatably supported by supporting points 46a, 46b. The squeeze roller 41 is moved between two points, namely, between the surface of the drum D1 and a position apart from the drum D1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
