PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method for a shim-regulating element for an NMR assembly. SOLUTION: A magnetizable metal powder having magnetic characteristics already known is provided (10). The powder is evenly dispersed in a non- magnetic material so that a mixture (40) having a selected uniform density may be formed (12). Regarding the concrete installation of the NMR assembly, a selected weight of a magnetic material is determined (14). The mixture (40) is heated (16). A volume which is selected in a manner to correspond to the selected weight of the magnetic material is pushed out into a container (18).
