PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire improved in belt separation resistance and load noise and reduced in rolling resistance, while restricting the lowering of high-speed durability and increase of weight, by devising the structure of a tire crown. SOLUTION: Two layers of belt layers 3 formed of steel single wires 4 having a diameter of 0.38-0.45 mm is arranged in the peripheral side of a carcass layer 2. A space (t) in the tire radial direction of the steel single wires forming the belt layer is set at 0.35-0.90 mm. Belt-like organic fiber layers 5 and 5 formed of the organic fiber cord inclined against the tire radial direction and projecting outside in the tire cross direction from an end of the inside belt layer 3A at positions in both ends of the belt layer between the inside belt layer 3A and the carcass layer 2 are arranged to be split.
