PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine enhanced in workability such as maintenance or the like and safety. SOLUTION: The injection molding machine 10 is equipped with a side injection unit 13. The side injection unit 13 is mounted on a moving stand 43 provided to the side of a molding machine frame 11. The moving stand 43 can be moved over the range from an advance position to a retreat position by a drive mechanism 50 using a ball screw. A feed screw 52 of the drive mechanism 50 is covered with a stool and cover 65. The stool and cover 65 comprises an upper surface 52a for covering the upper surface side of the feed screw 52 and a pair of side surfaces 52b and 52c covering both side surfaces of the feed screw 52 and has rigidity withstanding the load of a worker getting on the stool and cover 65.
